T.E.M. Electric Co., Inc. started in business on January 1, 1999 and is a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) certified by the State of Kentucky, the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government (LFUCG) and the Louisville-Jefferson County Metropolitan Sewer District. The company is also certified as an MBE in the state of Ohio, West Virginia, Tennessee and Indiana. We are certified as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) by the Commonwealth of Kentucky Transportation Department. Also, the Small Business Administration (SBA) has certified T.E.M. Electric as an 8A Small Disadvantaged Business and a HubZone Contractor. Tom Masterson is the owner and is of Hispanic heritage. He has created a corporate culture that seeks to provide opportunities for minorities within our organization and with our suppliers and subcontractors.
With $16 million in bonding capacity, we are capable of self performing and bonding any single project up to $5 million. T.E.M. Electric Co., Inc. and our affiliate companies are open shops. We are constantly seeking opportunities to expand in the marketplace, and have developed strategic partnerships to provide products and services to our customers that may not be available with the typical electrical contractor. We also have partnered with KDV, Inc. - A Disabled Veteran Owned Company. T.E.M. Electric has full service offices in both Lexington and Louisville, Kentucky. We currently have licenses to perform work in Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Tennessee and Florida.
